iPhone 4G Photos Leaked?.. Rumours Surrounding June Release Date Deepen

Photos of a smartphone that is suspected to be the iPhone 4G have been released over the Internet and are garnering much interest.
According to American internet media such as Engaget, the mobile phone in the pictures was discovered lying around in an iPhone 3G case in a bar in San Jose, California, USA and was speculated to be the iPhone 4G.
While the phone was clearly marked with the iPhone logo on the back and has a camera in the front for video calls as well as an 80GB hard drive, there are some other physical differences compared to the current iPhone.
At the time of discovery, the phone was found to be running a new version of the iPhone OS but was blocked remotely a few hours later.
Currently, it is unclear if the phone is an actual iPhone 4G, and if it is a production unit or merely a test model (protoype).
However, Engaget confirmed that the pictures were that of the iPhone 4G after comparing them to the handset that was found lying beside the iPad in the Apple test bed pictures that they had received a day before the launch of the iPad.
The fact that pictures of a similar handset had appeared in February earlier this year further strengthened their confidence in this being the next generation iPhone.
One blogger commented, “I don’t know who’s the idiot who brought this to a bar, but if this is really the iPhone 4G, someone should start worrying about whether they will still have a job next week.”
In addition, speculation is rife that the iPhone 4G will debut on June 22 as Apple has booked the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on that date.
News that AT&T, the US carrier for the iPhone, have blocked their staff from taking leave during the month of June further fan the rumours of a June release for the iPhone 4G.

아이폰 4G 사진 노출?..짙어지는 6월 출시설

아이폰 4G로 의심되는 스마트폰 사진이 인터넷에 공개돼 관심을 모으고 있다.
미국 인터넷매체인 엔가젯 등에 따르면, 미국 캘리포니아 세너제이(산호세)의 한 바에 놓여있던 아이폰 3G케이스안에서 발견된 사진속 휴대폰이 아이폰 4G(세대)로 추정된다는 것이다.
후면에 아이폰 로고가 선명한 이 휴대폰은 전면부 영상통화용 카메라와 80GB 저장공간을 갖췄으며 기존 아이폰과는 외양에서도 다소 차이가 있다.
발견당시에는 새로운 버전의 아이폰 OS로 구동되었으나 몇 시간뒤 원격으로 OS가 차단됐다는게 발견자들의 전언이다.
다만 정말 아이폰 4G가 맞는지는 여전히, 또 이게 양산모델인지 시험판(프로토타입)인지 불명확하다.
하지만 엔가젯은 아이패드 공개 하루전 확보한 애플 테스트베드 사진속 아이패드옆에 있던 단말기 사진과 외양이 동일하다는 점을 들며 아이폰 4G임을 확신했다.
앞서 지난 2월에도 한 블로그에 유사한 휴대폰 사진이 공개된 바 있어 심증을 더한다는 것이다.
이와관련 한 블로거는 “누군지 모르겠지만 아이폰 4G가 맞다면 이를 바까지 가져온 ‘머저리’는 내주에는 해고를 걱정해야할 것”이라고 촌평했다.
한편 아이폰 4G가 오는 6월 22일 발표될 것이라는 관측에도 힘이 실리고 있다. 이는 애플이 앞서 아이패드를 발표한 샌프란시스코 예르바 부에나 예술센터를 사용하기로 예약했다는 소식때문이다.
여기에도 미국내 아이폰을 시판하는 AT&T 가 6월께 직원들의 휴가를 금지했다는 소식도 흘러나오면서 6월 출시설을 부채질하고 있다.
